QLogitek Invited to Participate in Microsoft’s Global Technology Adoption Program for SQL Azure Reporting
Toronto (November 14, 2011) – QLogitek has been invited to participate in Microsoft’s global technology adoption program (TAP) for the soon to be released SQL Azure Reporting. SQL Azure Reporting is a core add-on product to Microsoft’s public cloud platform, Windows Azure (Azure). With this product, the Azure platform will gain the capability to deliver report creation and advanced reporting services.
QLogitek’s first business intelligence (BI) offering, the Supply Chain Performance Dashboard, runs in Azure and will make use of SQL Azure Reporting. The solution addresses a growing demand in the retail industry for improved supply chain performance through enhanced visibility. This visibility pertains to the status of key transactions including purchase orders, invoices, and advanced shipping notices or manifests. SQL Azure Reporting will augment the product by delivering on-demand real-time custom reports to end-users.
TAP participants help Microsoft reach its quality bar across product, documentation and support services and help validate features and use cases in real world environments. Entry into the program requires nomination by Microsoft and a limited number of seats are made available to Microsoft partners globally. Completion of the TAP will lead to the launch or general availability of SQL Azure Reporting.
“Inclusion in this Microsoft TAP gives QLogitek the advantage of being at the forefront of offering BI reporting services on Azure,” said John Magalhaes, EVP Technology Solutions at QLogitek. “This is an exciting time for QLogitek as we begin providing supply chain solutions in a public cloud following years of experience of offering these in our own private cloud environment.”
