Costco USA Becomes a Member of QLogitek's Supply Chain Community

Toronto (October 13, 2011) - QLogitek has added Costco USA to its growing supply chain community. This move expands the availability of the company’s Supplier Order Management System to QLogitek’s existing customers and any other organizations seeking to do business with Costco USA. VAN, AS2, FTP and web portal channels are available to suit the needs of organizations of any size, through a low-cost and easy to use trade compliance solution for EDI order fulfillment automation. In 2003, Costco Canada joined QLogitek’s community and the company is pleased to bring on board its American counterpart.

Costco Wholesale Corporation (Costco) is the largest membership warehouse club chain in the United States (U.S.) with a total of 572 stores. As of July 2009, it became the third largest retailer in the U.S. and the ninth largest in the world. Costco also offers its products online at costco.com (for the U.S. market), costco.ca (for Canada) and costco.co.uk (for the United Kingdom). Bargain and bulk shoppers helped retailers such as Costco post strong September sales despite a tumbling stock market and reports of sagging consumer sentiment. In September, the chain saw same-store sales rise 12 percent, topping analysts’ forecast for a 10.1 rise.
