QLogitek to Provide Cloud Technology Expertise at Microsoft Tech Days 2010

TORONTO (October 19, 2010) – QLogitek announced today that it will be participating in Microsoft's Tech Days 2010 conference (Tech Days), based on its experience in developing and deploying cloud applications leveraging key Microsoft technologies. Tech Days is a premier skills development conference that focuses on delivering deep technical training on the latest Microsoft-based technologies to Canada's technical professionals. The conference reaches 5,000 developers and IT professionals ranging from consultants, to IT architects, to software developers, to security specialists. This year, Tech Days brings the rich learning experience of current technologies such as Windows 7, Office 2010, SharePoint 2010, Windows Azure and SQL Server 2008 R2 to eight Canadian cities. Six session tracks, containing over 50 sessions, are available to attendees of the conference.

QLogitek Senior Product Team Leader, Lindsay Reynolds, will be delivering the session entitled Using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 to Build Applications That Run on Windows Azure, in Halifax, Montreal, and Ottawa on November 2, 9, and 23 respectively. This session falls within the cloud-based track and will explain the best way to use Visual Studio 2010 to develop Windows Azure applications. It will also demonstrate how Visual Studio 2010 supports all parts of the development cycle. Solutions to common problems encountered when creating or moving an existing application to run on Windows Azure will also be shared with session attendees.

"We are excited to have been invited to participate in Microsoft Tech Days. With our expertise in running cloud applications for the past ten years, coupled with Microsoft's push to move its partners and customers to the cloud, this session provides us with a highly appropriate knowledge-sharing forum," says Reynolds.
