QLogitek Announces Launch of Executive Roundtable Series
TORONTO (May 3, 2010) – QLogitek announced today the launch of its Executive Roundtable Series, to periodically bring together senior executives from the Canadian retail and consumer packaged goods (CPG) industries to share their views of best practices and challenges within their areas of expertise. Executives will be invited from various organizations and departments, ranging from logistics to finance. QLogitek’s Senior Vice President, Neel Sharma, will be hosting the roundtables.
The first roundtable is scheduled for May 27th, in Mississauga, Ontario. It will bring together Chief Financial Officers (CFOs) from some of Canada’s most competitive retail organizations. This roundtable will be mediated by Tim McLaren, Associate Professor at Ryerson University’s Ted Rogers School of Management. The Ted Rogers School of Management is an emerging leader in real world supply chain management research and graduate education.

Tim McLaren MBA, PhD, is an educator and
consultant with over ten years of experience working for large
organizations in the manufacturing, retail, government, and financial
services sectors in technology-enabled process improvement, supply chain
performance management, and enterprise systems implementation projects.
His research on information systems, supply chains, and organizations
appears in several journals and books including: Supply Chain Forum,
Advances in Electronic Business, and International Journal of Production
Economics. Dr. McLaren is an Associate Professor at the Ted Rogers
School of Management at Ryerson University and a Principal Consultant
for Korva Consulting Ltd.
About Neel Sharma:
Neel Sharma is Senior Vice President of Sales for the Supply Chain Software-as-a-Service division and is responsible for revenue growth and account acquisition. Mr. Sharma joined the company in 2001 after a progressively successful career in entrepreneurial start-ups and large IT management consulting. While at American Management Systems (AMS) based out of Fairfax, Virginia, he worked as an IT and Business Process Reengineering management consultant, helping transform and realign IT strategies of large public sector and Fortune 500 clients. As a consultant at Purolator Courier Limited, he managed the organization’s EDI integration with its worldwide logistics network partners. Mr. Sharma was Director of Technology at Electronic Healthcare Market (EHM), a B2B electronic exchange start-up company, which promoted commerce and collaboration between Canadian hospitals and their suppliers. While at Battelle Memorial Institute (a leading Contract Research Organization & US National Laboratory), Mr. Sharma worked as a Business Representative in finance helping develop and implement business costing systems to manage space and facilities.
Mr. Sharma is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA – Ohio) and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Ohio Wesleyan University and an MBA from the University of Dayton.
