Supply Chain Performance Dashboard QLogitek's Supply Chain Performance Dashboard Hits Marketplace

QLogitek has launched its Supply Chain Performance Dashboard, a multi-faceted cloud solution deployed in Microsoft Windows Azure that provides retailspecific business intelligence (BI). This becomes QLogitek's first widely available BI offering, within its suite of 10 supply chain products and services. Its launch is timely and relevant given the growth and interest that BI is gaining in not only the world of retail, but in virtually all industries.

The product launch took place following a successful pilot deployment with Canada's leading telecommunications company. An opportunity
existed for increased visibility and better management of the company's retail supply and demand chains, amongst its top global vendors. The
movement of critical business data via electronic documents formed the foundation of the company's integrated supply chain, but at the same time it presented a problem for teams to view where in the
process a business document actually was and how it was performing according to key performance indicators (KPIs) set by the organization. This lack of visibility was leading to frustration and multiple
queries concerning the status of key supply chain transactions including, but not limited to, purchase orders, invoices and advanced shipping notices (ASNs). The dashboard will facilitate near realtime
visibility and access to status information for the company's business and IT staff, in a secure, pay as you go low cost, highly scalable web portal available anytime, anyplace. It will empower its users with drill down detail level information for all supply and demand chain documents.

"A retail organisation using the Supply Chain Performance Dashboard gains the ability to become highly responsive to its trading partners or suppliers based upon a set of business criteria or performance
indicators. The criteria or indicators can be set by a retailer universally, for all its trading partners, or can be customised per trading partner," explains Isa Qureshi, EVP & COO at QLogitek. QLogitek confi gures
complementary business level triggers that convey the level of urgency associated with each of these criteria, in the traffic light visualization of green, yellow or red. Green connotes positivity while red connotes negativity, or in other words, a need for the retailer to address the given situation. The application can, for example, ask for a yellow
indicator to be displayed if the purchase order has not been acknowledged in an hour, and for a red indicator to be displayed if the purchase order has not been acknowledged within a day. The solution
also empowers suppliers with highly relevant order fulfillment and processing data. "So, a supplier can gain real-time visibility into the charges that they will incur if they fail to fulfi ll an order, as opposed to
having to perform manual calculations" says Qureshi.

When understanding the value of BI, one must look at the opportunities it provides. Industry research has shown that, according to retail executives, the key strategic action to combat supply chain pressures
is increased collaboration with suppliers. Top supply chain outcomes motivating this strategic action include increased lead times for the delivery of products and the prevention of inventory stock outs.
The Supply Chain Performance Dashboard helps achieve these outcomes along with the following:

• Immediate visibility to transaction processing issues
• Improved cash-to-cash cycles
• Increased fulfi llment accuracy
• Improved customer and global supplier relationships

Historical technology programs have not provided a cost-effective means for gathering and analyzing large volumes of demand and supply side data for retailers to adapt and react responsively. With the
Supply Chain Performance Dashboard, traditional technology barriers are removed and the playing field is leveled for retailers of all sizes. "QLogitek is excited to be part of this heightened dimension
of collaboration that BI in the cloud offers, since it furthers our belief that a truly collaborative supply chain must not only incorporate seamless connection and visibility, but must also be made available to all players in the supply chain," concluded Qureshi.

Toronto Contributes to the Success of a Global Integration Roadshow

With a kick-off in Auckland (New Zealand) in February, followed by a series of over 40 shows across 20 cities ranging from Jakarta to New Delhi to Barcelona, the Microsoft BizTalk Integration Road Show made its way to Toronto on April 14th. According to Rahul Garg, Microsoft Corp.'s Senior Product Manager for the BizTalk Server integration platform, the show was 'executed to perfection'. QLogitek is humbled
to have been selected as Microsoft's Toronto-based partner to deliver the session. It was also pleased that 2 of its customers were able to join the session to explain how their businesses have benefitted
from BizTalk deployments.

The session began with Mr. Garg explaining the evolution of core technology platforms beginning with mainframe, to client server, to web, to SOA, and now to the cloud. He explained that there has
tended to be a 10-year period between the major shifts of technology platforms, with 2010 being the decade of the cloud. He concluded that Microsoft's vision of the momentum and power of the cloud in
this decade parallels that of the web in the 1990s.

QLogitek's EVP and COO, Isa Qureshi, spoke about QLogitek's experiences in deploying various versions of the BizTalk platform, leading up to the most current 2010 version. Having received the Most Valuable Contributor designation from Microsoft Corp. in the  Technology Adoption Program for the 2010 release, Qureshi was able to share improvements in the platform specifically with respect to its enhanced mapping and B2B-EDI capabilities. With its heightened abilities, Qureshi described BizTalk 2010 as a "gateway to the cloud".

The session ended with practical experiences of BizTalk in action, at both

LS Travel Retail (formerly known as HDS Retail North America) and Traffic Tech Inc. respectively. Mario Bartolozzi, VP of IT at LS Travel Retail, explained how it has streamlined its order fulfi llment process across 350 + stores using QLogitek's services and BizTalk 2010. With travel and entertainment stores such as Relay and Virgin appearing in many North American airports, LS Travel Retail was able to automate a system that allows it to deal with seasonal suppliers of unique goods and regular large suppliers such as Coca Cola while leveraging its existing ERP investments. Neil Arnott, CIO at Traffic Tech Inc., explained how this leading Canadian transportation company has streamlined its EDI operations with several of its customers by leveraging BizTalk, resulting in greater visibility and more timely freight deliveries.

Attendees of the session spanned most heavily the healthcare, retail, and financial services industries. Follow-up questions indicate that interest in integration services and, potentially, cloud services,
are top of mind across many industry verticals.
