QLogitek has opened up doors to business with Lord & Taylor and Fields, through an extension of its EDI services to these North American retailers and their trading partners. U.S. based Lord & Taylor, established in 1826, is the oldest upscale, specialty-retail department store chain in the United States. Every year, Microsoft selects its top 3 worldwide partners in various awards categories. For the second consecutive year, QLogitek has been selected as a finalist in the Application Integration Partner of the Year award category, for its superiority in delivering integration services. This was amongst a pool of more than 3,000 submissions and is an outstanding accomplishment for QLogitek as it has achieved a top 3 standing amongst global technology companies in its core area of expertise. It is also the sole Canadian company recognized in its category.

The Application Integration Partner of the Year Award honours partners who have delivered a remarkable solution in the middleware and integration space with Microsoft Application Platform products. This award recognizes QLogitek as having the best solution to solve a customer's significant pain point while leveraging the integration capabilities of the platform. To this end, the company deployed a mission-critical supply chain solution that included Microsoft BizTalk Server Enterprise 2010 and SQL Server Enterprise 2008 R2. The first phase of the service oriented architecture (SOA) was completed in August 2010. By September 2010, the solution supported one of Canada's largest mobile telecommunications providers and a leading North American manufacturer that has more than 100 trading partners. QLogitek is continuing to move its existing customers to the new solution. In 2011, it will also expand the SOA to include cloud-based offerings supported by the Windows Azure platform.

Costco Canada joined QLogitek's trading partner community in 2003 and we're glad to bring on board its American counterpart. Costco Wholesale Corporation is the largest membership warehouse club chain in the United States. As of July 2009, it became the third largest retailer in the U.S. and the ninth largest in the world. Bargain and bulk shoppers helped retailers such as Costco post strong September sales despite a tumbling stock market and reports of sagging consumer sentiment. In September, the chain saw same-store sales rise 12 percent, topping analysts' forecast for a 10.1 rise.
